What I really like about affiliate marketing is that I don't have to even think about all the other aspects of running a business. These other areas consist of all the customer service issues like refunds, customer questions, and all the other time consuming tasks. It's just marketing the product and then getting the commission.

Unfortunately there are always disadvantages to this method, one being you are only going to get a set commission for a product or service sold. It's not your product, so you have no control over anything else except marketing it. You can't change the price or make any special offers etc. There's limited flexibility on your end.

Of course you want to make more profits with increased affiliate marketing sales. So how's it possible? Let me show you three good ways to increase your bottom line with Internet affiliate marketing.

1- Align yourself with only the very best Internet affiliate marketing programs.

With the massive amounts of affiliate marketing programs out on the market, the sky is the limit in who you want to represent. You are the one that needs to pick wisely. Here are some important things to consider:

A: Do they actually pay you a fair cut of the affiliate marketing sales? Don't mess around with companies that won't pay you at least half of the cost of the sale. They don't even have to lift a finger to make that sale while you are doing all the work.

So make sure you know what you're worth to a Merchant. They need you more than you need them. When you deal with great programs, they will usually pay even a higher percentage of the sale.

B: Are they reputable, do what they say, and pay out when they say they will? Good affiliate programs will pay you on time and on a consistent time interval such as monthly or bi-monthly.

Affiliates must be aware of the minimum requirements to getting paid. If you have to meet unrealistic minimums month after month to get a paycheck, it just isn't worth it. Most great Internet affiliate marketing programs have low or no minimums on your affiliate marketing sales.

If you really think you won't be able to meet the requirements, then don't promote that program. There's plenty of opportunities out there that will fit your needs.

C: Does the customer service meet your expectations?

You're reputation is important and the company you represent can and will effect how people deal with you in the future. Don't deal with unprofessional merchants. Stick with quality merchants that will help build your good name on the Internet.

An important step you need to take even before you decide to promote a product is check out the company thoroughly. Buy a product and see how the transaction goes. Evaluate it and see if you really like what you will be promoting to others. Then return it and see how they treat you as as an unsatisfied customer. Know what people will go through with this company. Make sure you feel good about them before doing business with them.

2- Build your own subscriber list

This one task, if done the right way, can really increase affiliate marketing sales.

It's really important to build a list of loyal and trusting subscribers. If you can accomplish this with your list, you will make good affiliate marketing sales consistently.

Of course there's too much to discuss on this subject, so just learn and do, so you can successfully bring in affiliate marketing sales for your business. Here's a brief summary of building a list.

A: Develop or have someone write you an informative report, book or mini-course on a subject that would be of great interest to a potential subscriber.

If you become really good at making sales for a product, you should ask the merchant for more of the profits of the sale. It's worth trying, because you have nothing to lose. There's no skin off the nose of the merchant. He doesn't really have to do anything to get the sale. They don't want to lose you as a valuable affiliate, so they may seriously consider it.

In conclusion, promote only top affiliate marketing programs to maximize affiliate marketing sales. Continue to build a list of loyal subscribers you can market too over and over. And last but not least, ask for more of the profits if you are making them a lot of money with affiliate marketing sales.
