Selling Online: Selecting A Product

By: Steve Beck

It's been an interesting week. I'm spending today at home, making CDs in my home office. I've made over a hundred over the last two days, and have only just begun. There is a great demand for low budget Internet marketing strategies for small businesses.

I've also developed CDs and video tutorials for many topics, including parenting, starting a Christian home based business, and various biblical topics. One of my CDs teaches kids to start a business - there are many small businesses that kids can start. One of my CDs teaches people about eBay; another teaches people how to make their own CDs.

As if that's not enough, I'm using my experience as a contractor to create home remodeling audios. After all this time, that specialized knowledge still comes in handy. Think about your own situation. What are your skills? What specialized knowledge do you have, and how can that build your online business? I'd like to help you find the answers.

I create new products all the time. It's easy and fun. Still, a recent critic accused, "You make money by telling others what to do. You don't actually do this yourself! Not so! I create a wide variety of products, all aimed at different niches, and market them online. If I can do it, you can do it too.

Would you like to know how much equipment it takes to churn out 100 CD's in two days?

- A personal computer, just like yours.

2. A printer (I hope you have one of those, too)

- A CD burner (I make lots of copies, and don't want to over-use the one in my computer. I bought one for a hundred bucks at Office Depot)

4. DVD cases at 37 cents a piece

- 100 blank CDs, $.17 each

6. CD labels at 20 cents a piece

Add it up - that's not a huge capital outlay to create all of these CDs. Creating an e-book is even cheaper. Why don't you give it a try? It doesn't require a large capital outlay to record an interview, a "how to" audio or video, or an e-book. Simply find your area of expertise, seek your niche, and go for it!

Creating a “How to Make Money on the Internet” audio is NOT the only niche on the internet. Don’t be so short sighted! I have proven by the topics listed above that there is an UNLIMITED supply of topics and niches out there to create a product for…if you do your research and follow some easy steps.

Whatever your niche, go forward confidently. Other people have made money on the Internet, and you can too. Write e-books, develop audio and video tutorials, sell products, or even earn money by recommending products. With so many low-budget Internet marketing strategies available for small businesses, you’re sure to find one that works for you. Get the whole family involved – look into small businesses that kids can start, and watch your children thrive!

All you need now is confidence, the knowledge you can do whatever you want. The first step is always the hardest. Maybe try starting with a free blog, a great way to dip your toes into the pool! Whatever you choose, I have faith in you. You CAN do this, and we can show you how. Let’s get started!
